To Store or Not to Store: Biomass Boiler Plant Performance and Thermal Storage, Buffer Tanks, and Heat Dump Tanks
Integrating biomass boilers into a high temperature distribution system is not an easy task, and is a challenge that our counterparts in Europe rarely face. Over the last few months, DCM Logic has written and solicited comments on this paper about storage in biomass boiler plants. By doing so, we hope to shed light on the question of when storage may aid in boiler plant integration, and some of the many questions to consider. We’ve also included a one-pager on things for your project’s design engineer to keep in mind. Comments, suggestions, and discussion are most welcome.
